Backer Update - The Box That Got Us

Hi Backers -
Well, I was originally hoping to be updating everyone with our ship date next week. The bars are all done, ready to go at the Salem Metal factory, but sadly not so much with the boxes.
The vendor we were going to use for boxes dropped out, fairly last minute, which left us scrambling to find a new box vendor. Happily, we succeeded, and close to home at that. We’re working with a 100+ year old manufacturer based in central Massachusetts. But in re-evaluating vendors we also realized our box design was just too complicated. We were intending to match the box color to the bar color, but when we re-evaluated the volumes of the order and the complexity in our operation, it made way more sense to simplify. So now we have one box design for all colors, which makes our box less expensive and our supply chain less complicated.
Long story short, that means that we are taking a 2-3 week hit on schedule. We are hoping to ship the week of November 16th, but it could be the week after.
I’m sorry for the delay. In the end, it was the box that got us - a rookie move on my part for sure - but a problem that we’re glad we corrected, which will save both time and money in the future.
